A Royal Pain in the Back

Do you see that picture and that really long word???

THAT is what has kept my sweet dh home from work the last two weeks and is what has limited his activity significantly. VERY significantly. As in, he's able to walk from room to room in the house. But that's it.

If you know him, you know that my dh is very athletic, active, strong, and fit as a fiddle. For him to have this injury has been hard for him to wrap his brain around.

So, besides praying for total and perfect healing so he can return to work....sooner rather than later....we're watching for His hand in this unexpected and painful sabbatical at home and are determined to rely solely on Him.

I know this is hard on him, and you. I'll be praying for y'all. He should use this time to rest and maybe spend some extra time in the Word and enjoying his family. Sometimes God does that for us. The thing I do know is that it will all work out for good.

I love you both.

I am praying this morning for your husband. Back pain is a tough thing because you can't just put a sling or bandage on it and go your merry way. Praying for a speedy recovery.

I'm sorry you won't be at She Speaks. But Lord willing, we'll keep doing this conference every year and would love to have you join us. You might even want to consider bringing your oldest daughter to participate in Next Generation classes as well.

You could even count it as part of her homeschooling.

Have a great weekend and know that you will be missed!

Prayers for your husband...and all of you..it takes its toll on the whole family..

So you are near Albany? Have you just been to The Lady and Son's once? We've been 3 times and they said she is only there maybe once a month..getting a little too big for her britches maybe? Long as she stays true to her roots I suppose. We love Uncle Bubba's the best though!

Oh, I am so sorry to read that your hubby is housebound and not very mobile.

Perhaps this is a good opportunity to read a bunch of books that he's interested in? Or perhaps take an online course in something? Or maybe just a great time to take up the art of meditation, yoga and memorize biblical passages?

I'm really sorry about this small setback. And, I'm looking forward to reading about the positive outcome from this little unplanned break. =)
