Aunt Ro's Ridiculous Dump Cake

Why is this cake ridiculous you ask?
Bc it's so ridiculously easy and yummy!

You start with these ingredients and a 13x9.....

After spraying your pan,
spread the cherry pie filling evenly on the bottom,
followed by the crushed pineapple with juice.
Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit.
Cut up the entire stick of butter and add it.
Lastly, sprinkle with coconut.
Bake at 350 for an hour.
It's that easy.
Serve with ice cream...or not.
(I only put coconut on half of ours
bc of picky eaters.)
And this is what it looked like after
10 people had their fair share...
And I hear my Hero in the kitchen now
having a little bedtime snack!

(And don't even get me started
about the price of cherry pie filling!
$4.00 a can! Now that's ridiculous!)

I cannot, under any circumstances, make that dessert. I have no self control when it comes to dump cake. Love it!!

It looks delicious but I'm with Hannah, very little self control when it comes to sweets. But, maybe for Thanksgiving when I'm tapped to bring the dessert ... =)

What You Missed....

Why is it that when there's tons of great stuff to blog about, I drop the ball and don't blog!!! Perhaps it's lack of time!!! Anyway, I'll catch you up on what you missed with a photo essay. Our Jelly Bean becomes St. JellyBean every Christmas. He grows out his beard and has his whole head dyed white. He has an awesome "suit." Not many folks get a private photo shoot with Santa in their living room! (This pic was only after phase one of beard-dying.) My nephew brought his fiance "home" to meet us all. She's a tiny little cute thing and we so enjoyed being with her! Fiance had never been to a Winn Dixie but loves the book "Because of Winn Dixie." So at 9:00 one night, guess where we took the poor little deprived child! Fiance is an avid basketball player.
