She Still Has Her Name

She's near and dear to our hearts. She's like family. We love her to pieces. She's Chris-10. And today, she moved to Kansas. You can't see the tears in my eyes, but they are there.
The story is pretty incredible, actually. And all God. We've been praying with C for sometime for Father to show her the next step of her journey with Him. We never dreamed He'd move her so far away! In August, friends felt impressed to pay for her to attend a conference at IHOP in Kansas City. Once there, C found herself gazing at a random bulletin board and a job posting jumped out at her. She called and forwarded her resume. Within 24 hours, C was interviewed and offered the job on the spot...after 20some-odd applicants had already been interviewed. She will be working as house parent at a ministry for troubled teen girls.
Father impressed upon Chris-10 to sell everything. So, guess where her moving sale was??? Yep, here. We worked feverishly to get it ready for Saturday morning.....my sweet neighbors pitched in. They are yard sale PRO's! We had a blast...an exhausting blast.
Our little 4 yr old Appledumplin doesn't understand that C is leaving for a long long time to a far away state. She asked me why Chris-10 was selling all of her stuff. I told her that the Lord had called Chris-10 to love on teenage girls who are having a hard time and He had asked C to sell everything.
Little A thought a minute and said, "Well, she still has her name!"
Yes, Chris-10. You still have your name. You still have your identity in Christ.

Yes, Chris-10. You still have your name. You still have your identity in Christ.

You are Daughter of the King.
Child of God.
The Apple of His Eye.
In Him, you are accepted, alive, and anointed.
In Him, you are beautiful, blameless, and blessed.
Confident, content, and courageous.
Yes, sweetsweet sister-friend. You may have gotten rid of worldly possessions, but you still have your name.
We are honored to be a part of your life and your journey. We love you. And will miss you, especially our long talks on the porch in the wee hours of the morning. My sweet, sweet sister-friend.
